Shree Kalika Secondary School
Location: Bhaktapur, Katmandu Valley, Nepal
Project cost:  $18,000

In the village of Bhaktapur, Nepal, the children attend primary school up to age ten, but there is no secondary school to attend.  Crooked Trails and its travelers refurbished the primary school and now would like to assist the community in building a secondary school.  With the assistance of our partner NGO KEEP (The Katmandu Environmental Education Project) we are working with the local government to plan and construct a 6-room building for older children.  The community has committed the land and labor, and we will begin construction the fall of 2008.
