Veena Prasad

Having always traveled independently before, Veena was a bit concerned about signing up to go a study tour to Peru with 15 other people in March 2008. However she had an amazing experience, felt deeply connected to all the places and people she encountered, and learnt a lot about traveling responsibly. Being exposed to a range of different perspectives on Corporate Social Responsibility from a mining consultancy to the Infierno tribal community in the Amazon was truly eye opening. It should come as no surprise that the trip and all the various meetings were organized by Crooked Trails! She has been in love with the Crooked Trails' mission ever since.

Veena left the active board to focus on her company, Veena's Market that creates ethnic recipe kits for cooking at home. She is still in touch with Crooked Trails and looks forward to going on another fabulous trip!
